I have been a caregiver over 30 years. It all started with my oldest daughter who was 3 months premature and needed a lot of care from the results of being so premature. I worked at Horizons Specialized Services for 20 years taking care of disabled adults and helping them maintain their independence etc. Out of those 20 years I was a Team Coordinator for 15 years managing a group home with a lot of staff and 8 residents. My boss and I actually got to open a new group home in Moffat County. I decided to come and work at The Haven Assisted Living because I needed a change and I enjoy making a difference in people's lives. It is very rewarding to see caregivers are ensuring a high quality of life for all the residents.
